We're the best kind of sneetches on the beaches
It is a sad comment when our own brothers and sisters are so weakened and feeble, that they require Prop 8 stands. And with it stands the pernicious Star-bellied sneech.
the simplest of distinctions elevate them above all others – a star on the belly – in a word – marriage.
It is far and away the universal sentiment here and around the world, that gays should have all the rights of straights – save one – the word marriage.
This word, this mystical magical word, somehow bestows upon those who seek and adopt it, superiority over their fellow man.
Whether the old spinster who never married, or the eccentric uncle who never married. Somehow, their lives simply can NOT be complete or fulfilled, as they have never known the holy bonds of matrimony.
And to ensure that those for whom you must be superior to, remain beneath you; ban their right to even approach those bonds of matrimony. Ensure that they never know the fulfillment and bliss you do. Be better than them.
“It’s only a word” so many like to say. And so if it is only a word, one has to ask, why so protective of it? Why do you place the value and fulfillment of your life with it so ahead of any life without it? Why, if it’s only a word, do you not allow others to use it? Dose denying them the use of this word somehow make you better than them? Does it somehow artificially support the inequality you require to make your own life worth living?
There is, in the country in which I was born and raised, a tenet on which we were all raised:
“All men are created equal”
This tenet was enumerated in the law of our land, ensuring that all are equal under the law.
It is a tenet that has fought its way through the millennia and the existence of man.
It is a tenet that will not only endure – it will prevail.
And so, I urge all you sneeches – find another star. The one on your belly has faded. It no longer separates you from your equals. If you want to stand out, do something to earn that distinction. Because the more you seek to use a simple word to proclaim your superiority, the more your inferiority shines through.

Orange ya glad stupidity still breeds bigotry?
This one’s so delicious it just HAS to be fattening.
Carrie Prejean, Miss California, and the unfortunate bridesmaid in the Miss USA pageant is about to be dethroned for contract violations. It seems her noteriety for believing queers to be 2nd class citizens has won her numerous appearances, one in a commercial, for various hatemongering organizations who have somehow forgotten the words of the savior they continue to crucify every time they open their hateful mouths.
And such appearances are a no no.
As if that werent enough, it seems she posed topless at 17.
Another no no that Vanessa Williams indulged to make Bob Guccione very very rich.
When asked to comment on her contract violations, the uber brainiac that does blondes proud the world around, replied, “I don’t know because I don’t really know what was in the contract”.
Lovely. A role model for young women everywhere. Sign a contract without knowing what it says.
I’m going to go out on a limb here and suggest she probably doesn’t really know what her bible says either. Or what her Christ taught. I’m willing to bet she’s never even cracked the book.
Isn't there something in there somewhere about lying and cheating? Or is that ok as long as it’s in the name of hatred and oppression?

Thoughts under the inluence of ecstasy
Ravel’s Bolero –
As if it wasn’t a fine enough piece of music on its own, Bo Derek catapulted it into the halls of imortality by turning Dudley Moore on to a ‘great fuck’ piece.
Poor Bo. Disadvantaged not only by the sands of time, but the sans of brains, had no way of knowing that Madonna’s ‘La Isla Bonita’, a fictional island of lust and paradise would reign supreme as the rhythm of the sheets. A song I’ve been known to interruptus coitus to reset the needle – yes that was pre-mp3..
Among the other works that incite passion – whether carnal or cerebral – are:
One Night in Bankok – “I get my kicks above the waistline sunshine”
The Pretender – so many options here, but among the best “and when the morning sun comes streaming in, I’ll get up and do it again…”
Rock me on the Water – “oh people, look around you, the signs are all around you. You’ve left it for somebody other than you to be the one who cares…”
Before the Deluge – “Some of them knew pleasure, and some of them knew pain, and for some of them it was only the moment that mattered..and on the brave and crazy wings of youth they went flying around in the rain…and their feathers once so fine grew torn and tattered. In the end they traded their wings, for the resignation that living brings..”
Puff the Magic Dragon – really…do I need to quote this one????
I’m not ready to make nice – (dixie chicks) “It’s a sad sad story when a mother will teach her
Daughter that she ought to hate a perfect stranger
And how in the world can the words that I said
Send somebody so over the edge
That they’d write me a letter
Sayin’ that I better shut up and sing
Or my life will be over”… wow.. the last 8 years.. wow….
